Today I did nothing productive.  I cooked some fried rice today with my new pan and it was delicious.  After lazing around for a bit I went to Korean class and afterwards, Cherie and I went to Myeongdong.  We walked around for a bit and looked but never bought anything. I'm so proud of myself for doing that! Usually I get guilted into buying something.  Anyways, I went to take a picture with a panda and after I got the shot, he basically pushed me into Tony Moly (the store he was promoting) and Cherie and I got cornered by salespeople.  Luckily, we managed to escape with all our money intact and we got free cottonpads for looking lol.  Cherie was looking for an Uniqlo because she was doing research for a class and we attempted to talk to this dude asking for a manager but he instead brought us over to the girl manning the fitting room.  We talked to her for a bit and it was kinda awkward at first, but nevertheless, it was informative.  We had some scrumptious shabu shabu for dinner and while we were at the restaurant, we started to people watch and Cherie would make up the situation and background based on how the looked and acted.

Best part of shabu shabu, the rice porridge they make out of the broth everything's boiled in:

It was hilarious and one thing she pointed out is that when guys take a girl out to eat, they don't really talk for the first 30 mins or so.  I personally find it awkward if they did that but apparently if the girl talks too much, they get irked so it's best to keep your mouth shut until he instigates conversation? The few guys she's observed like docility in a woman and that just doesn't work for me...

oh, this was a weird sign we saw on the subway.  man or woman? no clue what it's advertising but I'm on a mission to find out!
